This page explains what TaxFair.net collects, why, and what control you have over it. If anything here is unclear, the Contact page is the fastest way to ask.
Your ledger data is used only to calculate and display your own tax estimate and wealth reconciliation back to you. We do not sell ledger data, and we do not use it for advertising targeting. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics (such as total registered members) may be used internally to understand usage.
If you use the optional AI Tax Agent, your message and relevant ledger figures are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response, under Anthropic's own data handling terms. This only happens when you actively use that feature.
Your account and ledger data remain stored until you request deletion. To request full deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us via the Contact page using the CNIC/phone number tied to your account for verification. We aim to process deletion requests within 14 days.
Ledger data is transmitted over HTTPS. PINs are hashed with bcrypt before storage. As with any hosted service, no method of storage or transmission is 100% guaranteed secure, and you should avoid reusing a sensitive PIN from another account.
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in between visits. Advertising partners (if enabled) may set their own cookies as described above.
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
